Happy Monday my people! I hope you had a great weekend and are recharged for a new week!
It's PEAK WEEK again for me! Feels crazy since I just did a show. But, here we are. Yesterday I asked myself this very question that others have asked me over the years: How do I stay motivated all the time?
Let me share with you how I do. Because, honestly, it's very rare that I don't feel motivated with my health & fitness goals.
Number 1, have a strong WHY. If you don't know WHY you want to reach your goals in the first place, you are going to lack motivation and drive. When you have a really strong WHY, it drives you every day to put in the work. Your reason has to be SO STRONG it gets you out of bed when you want to go back to sleep. My WHY is to become the best version of myself so I can help others do the same and overcome their obstacles. I have faced nothing short of may battles, and I want to let you know that YOU can also overcome your own. You are the only thing standing in your own way.
Number 2, always have a goal you're working towards. If you don't, you have nothing pulling at you to keep putting in the work. Set a goal, get VERY clear on what it is you want to accomplish, be specific, and SET A DATE. For me, knowing I am getting on stage on a certain date sure puts the fire under my booty haha. If you don't have a goal or a date, it's really easy to just kinda skate along doing the bare minimum. So, maybe it's a 5k, a show, a photoshoot, a wedding, or something else.
And number 3, get a coach who keeps you accountable. A lot of people think they can do it on their own, but honestly, when you invest money in a coach not only do you get a plan that will challenge you and put you in the right direction, you have someone to hold you accountable. It is your duty to check in and send progress pics. If you do this every week, you are more likely to get your workouts in and say no to the cookie, knowing you have to send pics to your coach. I still have a coach. It keeps me on my toes. He doesn't baby-sit me; I keep myself accountable by sending him progress photos because i want this.
These are a few things that keep me motivated every day. Knowing I am inspiring people, I have clients to be a role model for, and others look to me as a leader also motivates me. But 99% of my drive and motivation come from within, because I want to be the best I can be to help YOU.
Now, my goal is to finish Peak Week strong, focused, and as calm as i can. :) As always, if you need help on your journey, please shoot me a message. Now go out and have an amazing week. I'm going to go practice my posing!!
Hugs and Squats,
